Why POF

Polymer fibers will never reach the transmission distance and the capacity of silica glass single mode fibers. On the other hand, they are more flexible, have lower costs and are very easy to handle. Compared to copper data cables they achieve similar performance but have smaller diameters, are insensitive to electro-magnetic fields and offer an inherent electrical isolation.
