Spectral attenuation of fibers according to VDE/VDI 5570

There is a measuring station, according to the VDE/VDI standard 5570, available for measuring the spectral attenuation of fibers with a diameter up to 1 mm. The attenuation can be measured with substitution method, insertion method or cut-back method. The fiber excitation is performed with a NA of 0.35 and a wavelength between 400 nm and 900 nm. The minimal resolution is 4 nm.
