Measuring the fluorescence lifetime

To measure the fluorescence lifetime of different samples, they are first excited with picosecond pulses generated by a broadband tunable laser. The excitation wavelength can be between 410  nm and 1100 nm. The recording of the emission is performed by a photomultiplier with a time resolution of 4 ps.
