Contactless measurement of surface characteristics

There is a white light interferometer (produced by 3d-Shape company) available for contactless surface characterization . The range of the measurements is between 1.6 x 2 mm and 16 x 20 mm with a resolution between 1.5 µm and 15 µm. The longitudinal range is typically 1 µm (20 nm for measurement of optically smooth surfaces).
