Characterization of side emitting light guides according to DIN 58141-11

There is a measuring station, according to DIN 58141-11, available for measuring the characteristics of side emitting fibers with a length of up to 3.5 meters. The integral emission and the meridional angular dependence with different launching conditions at wavelengths of 473 nm, 532 nm and 660 nm can be measured. Additionally the integral lateral coupling efficiency can be determined using a halogen lamp with UV-stop.
