Preliminary

The 22nd international conference on polymer optical fibers was held in Buzios – Brazil - Rio de Janeiro. Each year this conference is a highlight for industry and research, and deals with all applications of polymer optical fibers.
Depending on the current priorities, the POF Conference is awarded alternately to Europe, Asia or America. 2013 Brazil and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro were accepted for the first time. The team around Prof. Marcelo Werneck was an outstanding host and made a substantial contribution to a successful POF Conference 2013.
